Driver Registry Services
At Mayerthorpe Registry, we provide exceptional service to make it easy for you to get on the road or to maintain your daily driving without any hassles or unexpected fees. We offer you a wide selection of drivers licensing services so you can do all that you need in one visit. You may renew your licence, apply for a duplicate if you have changed your address or lost your licence, or exchange your out-of province licence. We offer knowledge tests for all classes and road tests for classes 4, 5, and 6.

All driver’s license services require in-person completion with the presentation of appropriate identification. Always anticipate having your photograph taken.

For address changes, visit our office, bringing along your current license and a second form of identification. If you are exchanging an out-of-province driver’s license for an Alberta driver’s license, ensure you bring your current license, either a birth certificate or a valid passport, and 1-2 pieces of mail displaying your Alberta address.

In the case of a lost or stolen driver’s license/ID card, it is necessary to visit our office with two pieces of identification.

For Learner’s tests and Knowledge tests for Class 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 licenses, please visit us in person.

ROAD TEST SERVICES:
Road tests may be booked; online, by phone, or in person at a our registry location. For road test information, to see available exams, dates and times and/or schedule an appointment visit the Alberta Road Tests.
For new bookings, you will need to provide:

- The Motor Vehicle Identification Number (MVID) of the person taking the road test.
- A valid credit card if booking online.

- Learner’s under 18 require a birth certificate or passport and a parent with them in order to write/obtain a learners licence or ID card.
- Learner’s over 18 require a birth certificate or passport and a second piece of ID, along with proof of Alberta Residency.
